Erica Harris
Founder & Clinical Director of Rising Minds —
a practice built from lived experience, professional training, and a deep respect for human resilience.
Developed from lived experience
Rising Minds was founded in Vancouver, British Columbia, to offer online counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families in British Columbia and Ontario, grounded in warmth, compassion, safety, nervous-system awareness, and evidence-based care.
Years of navigating profound personal adversity deepened Erica’s understanding of the human experience and strengthened her belief in our remarkable capacity to endure, adapt, heal, and grow through even the most difficult chapters of our lives. That belief became the foundation of Rising Minds.
Resilience is not hardness. It is not the absence of pain, nor the denial of vulnerability. It is the quiet, courageous decision to rise — again and again.
Collaborative, at a pace that feels right for you
Erica works with youth, adults, couples, and families across British Columbia and Ontario. Her approach is collaborative, evidence-informed, trauma-aware, and grounded in the understanding that our emotional and physical experiences are deeply interconnected.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Erica draws from a range of evidence-based therapeutic frameworks and mind-body perspectives based on each client’s needs, experiences, and goals.
Her work with couples and families is also informed by Gottman Method principles and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
With Erica, you’ll find:
